✨ How to build patience and cancel out the noise
Patience in investing doesn’t come naturally because it’s built over time, with practice and perspective. Start by reminding yourself that market ups and downs are normal, not emergencies. One of the best ways to cancel out the noise is to just automate your investing. Set up a monthly transfer, pick a diversified portfolio, and then walk away. This removes emotion and keeps you consistent.
To cancel out the noise, limit your exposure to headlines and hype. Financial news is designed to provoke urgency, not to help you build wealth. Follow a few trusted sources, ignore clickbait, and always zoom out. Patience is a skill, and the more you train it by staying calm during dips and sticking to your plan—the stronger and more confident you become as an investor.
🎧 Podcast Episode 4 Recap: The Long-Term Investing Playbook
🧠 Master the Mindset, Build Real Wealth
If I could go back and restart my investing journey, I wish someone had walked me through these 9 fundamentals from the beginning. Everyone says, “Start young!” but when you actually do, you’re often overwhelmed by noise, hype, and pressure to chase quick wins. That curiosity can easily turn into experimenting with risky investments that feel more like gambling than real strategy. For me, this is exactly what I went through and although it served as a great lesson, it could have all been avoided if someone was there to just guide me through the right mindset.
Especially when things don’t go right, you lose money, lose trust in the stock market, and sometimes you give up entirely in this whole investing thing. The truth is, the mindset needed to start investing and stick with it — isn’t talked about enough. It’s not flashy, it’s not viral, but it’s necessary. That’s why I created this guide and this episode: to give you a strong foundation so you can invest with confidence, not fear your own portfolio.

📲 What kind of content I’m planning for this upcoming week…
I thought it’d be kind of fun to share the behind the scenes of what my content strategy looks like. So if you’re nosy and think this might be interesting, I would love to know if this kind of segment in the newsletter should pop up more!
I’ve been thinking more about how to take this content creation path more seriously. I’ve had the privilege to work with really cool brands, monetize and even get recognized so I think it only makes sense to make this a real job. I do this part-time, more like a hobby, but I began to realize that if I put more hours in — could it actually become a full-time job? I don’t think I have the guts to fully commit to that yet, but I definitely want to gradually get there.
Here’s my strategy:
Currently right now, I upload different types of content on each platform; on IG, Tiktok, YouTube and my podcast — you will find different styles and topics
This is because I don’t like the idea of cross-posting all the time. I want each platform to be unique and deliver exclusive styles that match to the platform’s taste but also give my audience different outlets to discover all kinds of my content!
Brand partnerships; I’ve created a lot of videos for a company that I genuinely love like Wealthsimple. I’m passionate about making financial tools more accessible to my generation — but as my voice grows, I’ve learned the importance of being intentional with the brands I support. Moving forward, I’m focusing on companies that not only offer great products, but also value creators and invest in real community relationships.
I’ve partnered with a company that I’m excited to share more about and I want this to be a long-term, healthy partnership so that my audience can not only associate my brand with them but also let it truly be a resource that can help my audience enhance their finances. This is my first step to selecting brands I want to work with carefully.
Financial institutions — this one is tricky because the big 5 banks tend to work with lifestyle creators or not so much finance creators. So although this is the dream, I will continue to create authentic videos that provide my insight on their banking products to hopefully get noticed!
One brand I’d love to collaborate with right now is EQ Bank. I genuinely use and love their products, and I think there’s a huge opportunity to help them connect more with Gen Z. Their tools are strong, but I’ve noticed their marketing doesn’t quite reach younger audiences yet. That’s where I see a chance to make a real impact — just like I did when I created content around Wealthsimple. I learned that I have a voice to help brands grow by bridging the gap between financial tools and real, relatable education. So I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads!
A lot of rambling but just my thoughts for now! I might make a YouTube video detailing this more so stay tuned if this kind of stuff interests you.
✨ Final Thoughts
I want investing to be something everyone can start doing early. I recently put up a poll on my IG to ask who hasn’t started investing yet and I got 24% of voters not investing YET. What!?1?!??!?!
My goal is to spread the awareness of the beauty and power of investing but also shed off the daunting barrier to it. I hope you give a listen to the episode and let me know if you have any suggestions for upcoming episodes or videos! Message me on my IG, as I usually get to those pretty quickly.
